Elemental Fusion: A Sedona Retreat

Elemental Fusion | Sedona, Arizona

Nestled in the village of Sedona, this new construction residence was designed from the ground up as a seamless conversation between architecture and landscape. From the first concept sketch to the final finishing detail, our design philosophy — Elemental Fusion — guided every decision: organic walnut tones, raw textures, and natural materials that honor the iconic red rock terrain just beyond every window.

At just under 3,000 square feet, the home lives far larger than its footprint suggests. Soaring 15-foot ceilings and an abundance of oversized windows and patio doors dissolve the boundary between inside and out, flooding each room with natural light and framing the surrounding Sedona landscape like living artwork. The outdoors were never left behind — they were invited in.

In the kitchen, custom walnut cabinetry anchors the space with warmth and intention. Thoughtfully integrated interior cabinet organizers honor our client's passion for gourmet cooking — particularly the art of crafting layered, spice-forward soups — with a place for everything and a workspace that inspires. Subtle sage green, cool gray, and marble white surfaces carry through the bathrooms in shower surrounds, countertops, and backsplashes, creating a calm, spa-like atmosphere throughout.

Contemporary lighting fixtures become sculptural moments at the ceiling level, while automated UV-filtering window coverings add effortless, clean-lined functionality. In the master suite, bold prints and cherished heirloom furnishings find their place alongside current design trends — a reminder that great interiors tell a personal story.

Touches of the Pacific Northwest — a nod to our client's roots near the water in Washington — are woven quietly into the décor, grounding the home in memory as much as in place.

Outside, a rooftop deck, pool, hot tub, and generous front entertaining area complete the retreat experience. Whether catching the last golden rays over the Sedona rocks at sunset or starting the morning with coffee and canyon views, every outdoor space was designed to be savored.

Two years of ideas, energy, and creative collaboration brought this project to life. Our clients loved the result so much they transformed it into a sought-after Airbnb — and have already launched a second renovation just a few miles away.

This one was pure joy.
