Villa Vista REMODEL

Originally built in the late 1990s, this custom contemporary home became the ideal canvas for a complete interior transformation tailored to a young urban couple with toddler twins and two small dogs. With an open floor plan, soaring ceilings, expansive windows, and a breathtaking view of the mature, landscaped backyard and pool, the home offered incredible potential for modern living and effortless entertaining.

Inspired by the clients’ deep love for the ocean—and their favorite piece of art, Peacock Glacé, proudly displayed near the fireplace—we curated a palette of calming blues and rich purples that infused the space with personality and tranquility.

One of the key design challenges was the unconventional layout and sharply angled ceilings in the living and dining rooms. We addressed these architectural quirks with thoughtful design solutions, including layered task and decorative lighting to balance proportions and create ambiance. Outdated audio/visual intercom systems and surround sound wiring were removed or re-routed to streamline the home’s functionality.

In the kitchen, we reimagined the island to comfortably seat three—turning it into a central hub for cooking, gathering, and everyday family moments.

The master bathroom underwent a dramatic transformation. A bulky travertine wall that once obstructed both space and light was removed, allowing the natural glow from the glass block windows to flood the room.

Among our favorite updates: the stunning marble stone fireplace, which serves as a dramatic focal point, and the installation of beautiful, wood-look vinyl flooring—both stylish and incredibly durable for an active, growing family with pets.
